Social Media and Social Bookmarking Methods that Work

Social media can be a great tool if used correctly.  You don’t want to create social bookmarks for every single post on your blog, nor do you want to use it too sparingly either.

Social bookmarking methods that work rest somewhere in the middle.  I like to bookmark one of out five posts when my blog is new, and once it has been indexed by Google, and gained some age, I then start bookmarking one out of ten posts.

Mind you, the posts that get bookmarked are the ones that are optimized for keywords that I want to rank for.

Another useful tip that I have learned is to set up several profiles on each social bookmarking site so that when you are managing different blogs in several niches, you can keep everything organized, and not have to worry about spamming all different kinds of content under one profile.
