Finder Niche - Everyone’s Got One, or Two, or Twenty!
Maybe you’re a little like me in that you are not good at just one thing, you want to be great at everything. When you are trying something new, you have to do it better than everyone in the room, or you won’t do it at all.
This has been the story of my life. I wish that I could have been like other people. I never finished college because I could not settle in on doing one thing for the rest of my life. I had no idea of what I really wanted to do, and the sheer fear of having to be pigeonholed kept me from doing anything.
As a kid, I was an artist, a cook, the babysitter, the cheerleader, and the maid. My parents were young, and I was their oldest daughter. They worked, and I did most everything else. I understood at a very young age how to be the jack of all trades.
Now as an adult, I still do everything. This is also my way as an internet marketer. I have most every kind of niche website that you could imagine. It’s not easy maintaining everything either. As for creating a schedule, and perfect balance, forget it. I am all over the place.
Some days I am starting at square one, like with my email list. I am just learning. If I had more time, I would be creating my own ebook and giving it away. That will come soon I am sure. Email marketing is something that you have to do, there is no ebook that is going to show you step by step so that you do it perfectly the first time. You have to experience it by starting your list.
With two of my larger websites, they were great concepts but I cannot settle in on what kind of website to design for each one, so they just sit. This is not a method that I recommend to anyone. To be successful, you want to start and finish a project to the point where you can easily maintain it and keep the content current.
I have learned that in order to find your perfect niche, you have to settle in and develop it. It takes time and effort. You have to do a complete job from start to finish. You can’t be perfect with every project you take on. The important thing is that you take action and work through to completion.
Choosing your first niche is the first step. I like choosing a niche, and finding a couple of products to promote, getting my keywords, and writing articles. When I am testing, I will simply redirect a domain to the products to see which products will sell. When I find a product that sells well, I will build the niche site, add more products, spotlight the one that sells, and write more articles. At this point, PPC is also a good idea.
