How To Create An eBook – Creating An eBook For Free

Category : eBooks

Want to know how to create an ebook? I love creating ebooks, and it is cool that there is free software out there that will allow me to do it.  When you are first starting out in affiliate marketing, you want to get a jump on starting an email list, and maybe even creating some of your own products in the form of ebooks.

You don’t have to be an expert, and your efforts don’t have to be perfect.  Just use your own mind and creativity to help other people solve a problem.

One of my secrets for creating an ebook is to take some PLR (private label rights articles), and combine some similar topics together in the form of an ebook and give them away to subscribers on my mailing list.

If you would like to get some great software that will give you thousands of PLR articles, my suggestion would be to try the Ultimate PLR Collection.  It has almost 30,000 articles that you can use to create your content.

You can also create videos with PLR, and rewrite them for unique content to distribute in article directories.   There are endless ways to use PLR, and if you want to copy what the pro SEO’s do, reuse your content in several different mediums to get backlinks to your blog.

Back to how to create an eBook…  Here are the steps that I use personally to create them.

1.  Download and install OpenOffice.  Here is the link: Download OpenOffice

If you have never heard of OpenOffice, it is free software that is kind of like Microsoft Office.  You get spreadsheets, a writing program, presentation software, database software, and a drawing program.  Free too, isn’t that cool?

2.  Once you have the software installed, open up OpenOffice Writer.  Now you can add an image to the first page, and type in your title for your ebook.

3.  Create your pages for your ebook.  You can make it as long or as short as you would like.  For ebooks that I generally give away to subscribers, I usually create a shorter ebook with about 10 pages or so.  If you are creating a product you will want to add as much useful content as possible, so my advice would be to write more pages and make it bigger.

4.  Save your work in the standard format in a folder on your desktop.  Look for the PDF icon at the top of the page, and click on it.  A window to save as PDF will open up, and you will want to save that too.

5.  All done!  Review your work in the two different formats.  Know that you can still edit the ebook in the original copy that you saved.

6.  Get to work building your list by distributing your new ebook.  Upload the ebook to your website, and include the link in your email list.  Now take the link and distribute it to article directories, put it in the description area for your videos, and send it to subscribers on your list.

The possibilities are endless when you know how to create your own ebooks.
