How To Sell Online For Free

With so many people becoming unemployed, it might help to learn a new skill.  The internet is offering new ways for people everywhere the opportunity to sell things online for free.  There are places online where you can get paid a percentage for each product you sell.  It’s called affiliate marketing, or internet marketing.

You don’t need money to sell things online, and you don’t need to worry about setting up a complicated blog or website either.  No technical skills needs to make money online.

Just follow along with me, and I will show you some very simple steps to set up your own blog where you can sell products.  If you can write, and copy and paste, you can create a very nice blog that will allow you to make money online.

Step 1) Set up an email account for yourself.  I like Gmail or Google Mail, but you can use any free email service you like.  There is also Yahoo Mail, and Hotmail.  Create an account.

Now, I would like for you to think about a theme, something that you want to focus your blog around, and name your blog.  Be creative.

Step 2) Head over to Blogger.com, and create an account using the same email account you just created, and name your blog.  Choose a template you like and add it.  Now sign up for Google Adsense, and the Amazon Affiliate Program.

Google Adsense will allow you to get paid for displaying advertisements on your blog.  They will pay you a certain amount per click when visitors come to your blog, and click on your ads.

The Amazon Affiliate Program lets you link to products from Amazon.com to your blog, and when visitors click on your product link and buy something from Amazon, you will get a commission, or a percentage of the sale.

Step 3) Check out some other blogger blogs for ideas of what you would like to do with your blog.  Trust me, this step is helpful.  See how other bloggers are linking to products, and the wording they are using.  Take a look at the positions on the page for Google Adsense too.

Step 4) Create a couple of posts on your blog, add some Google Adsense Ads, and some products from Amazon using your new affiliate accounts.

Step 5) Now we want to get some visitors to your blog.  The first step you want to take after you create a post to your blog is to head over to Pingler, or Pingomatic, and “ping” your blog.  This is to let the search engines know that you have written a post, and for them to index it.  In other words, this is how you can get the search engines like Google to list your blog when visitors search for keywords related to it.

Step 6) Create an EzineArticles account with a link to your blog in your bio.  Write an article related to each post, or rewrite each post to at least 350 words or more, and post it to Ezinearticles, and at the bottom in the resources box, create a link back to your blog.

Say something like: Click Here For More Information on Your Blog Post Title, Visit Your Blog Name Now!

You are writing the article to attract more visitors to your blog.  Think of it this way, the more blog posts you create, and the more articles you put out will give you more visitors.  The more visitors you get, the more they will click on your Google Adsense links (making you money), and the more chances that they will buy something from your Amazon links.

You can do this.  Treat it like a full time job, and you will start to see results.  I will post some additional tricks that will get you more traffic in a future post.

CPA Affiliate Marketing - Way Bigger Commissions!

I am an affiliate with both Azoogleads, and Neverblue, and have been for over a year.  I do most of my marketing based on their offers, and I look for the $25 to $40 commissions.  I have racked up thousands of dollars primarily with article marketing.

CPA networks generally offer free trials, and sign up offers, and a lot of the big super affiliate marketers will run them on Google Adwords.  Of course, you have to have some money upfront to make a profit.  When I tried pay per click, I preferred Yahoo and MSN, and Google makes internet marketers jump through too many hoops. Regardless, pay per click is the secret to big money with CPA affiliate marketing.

The secret to getting these offers to convert is in the long tail keyword.  Get hundreds of them all totally related to the product niche, and research just what the customer is looking for.  Remember to target your audience.  You don’t want to create a campaign with general keywords that target everybody.  It is also important to isolate keywords to each adgroup.

Affiliate marketers everywhere are reeling from the recent eBay Quality Click Pricing email we all received this week.  I was stunned to say the least.  It’s not that I was making tons a money or a living off of eBay since they moved to their own affiliate program from Commission Junction.  I make anywhere from $10 to $40 a month with the program.  I post their RSS feeds into my Squidoo pages, and I have one website with products that I use exclusively for eBay because of their price points.

Let’s face it, eBay sells used items most of the time, and in this economic downturn where almost everyone is out of a job, people turn to deals.  The thing that I am not really getting about eBay’s Quality Click Pricing is why???

That being said, it might be wise to start really optimizing your websites to get the best click through rate possible. You have to be flexible as an affiliate marketer, and go where the money is.

I would start doing many of the same things to draw traffic as with Google Adsense.  I would look for popular products, and optimize your page accordingly.  If you use Wordpress blogs, set one up for a certain niche, and let it go.  Draw quality traffic by using very targeted long tailed keywords.

You might be surprised and find that it is easier to generate a decent income with eBay now that they have changed the game once again.  I like challenges, what about you?

I am beginning to think that I would be a much better internet marketer if I would try being a little more sincere.  The key to successful internet marketing is really connecting with your audience.  I don’t think that it’s really telling people what they want to hear.  I am beginning to realize that you have to really speak to people, and not insult their intelligence.

I have been so guilty in the past of throwing up a website with little content, and lots of products.  I have also been guilty, fairly recently of setting up several weight loss blogs without any real substance.  Because I desperately want to compete with other sites for the weight loss niche, I have to admit that I have been very guilty of not really creating the most useful website.  Perhaps that is why I have made a whopping $20 this month in the weight loss arena.  Mind you, I have four websites on the subject.

I am written articles until I am blue in the face, created a ton of free mini-sites for backlinks, and even paid $20 this month to submit one website to 5000 directories.  I wish that I had thought that one through.

One of my favorite blogs to read for inspiration, and a good laugh is KarmicConsulting.net.  Ian is an amazingly talented writer, and he is so funny.  When I need an attitude adjustment, and I am desperately trying to change my mindset, (think happy thoughts), I often read his blog.  He mentions in his latest post about how to keep readers on your list.  His post is interesting because he talks about not insulting your readers intelligence.  It struck a chord with me, and I know that he is right.

Sure, its to easy to setup a website with rehashed content, and lots of banners.  You may think that you are saving time, and going to make a lot of money, but the truth is you may be wasting time.  People want to know why you recommend the product, and are looking for your point of view and suggestions.

To be a really successful internet marketer, you have to believe in the product you are selling.  You have to know the advantages of owning and using the product, and you have to successfully convey it’s attributes to others from your point of view.   Suggest, don’t sell.
