As an avid article marketer, I had all but given up on article spinning software.  They all have such great send ups, and their ad pages would promise the moon, only none of them could really deliver.   Some of them were fast, really fast, but the resulting articles would be unreadable garbage.  Some of them allowed you to go word for word choosing your own synonyms, but isn’t that the same thing as writing an article from scratch?!?

Why do I need an article spinner if I am going to do all of the work?

Here are a few pointers that I have learned about article spinners:

• A good article spinner will save you time
• An amazing article spinner will write a readable article as good as the original (or better!), and it will work quickly.

When I first started building websites, I thought that I could just create a website, and visitors would simply find my site and buy whatever I was selling.  Pretty silly, right?!?

Actually, now I know that I am not alone in this thinking.  We all think this way at first.  None of us know how to check backlinks, let alone what a backlink is, or how we can create trails for visitors to find us, or anything really about the inner workings of internet marketing.

Backlinks are simply a link from another website to yours.   Here is an example of a backlink:

<a href=”http://www.yourwebsite.com>Best Widgets</a>

They are important because search engines like Google are looking at backlinks to determine how really important and relevant your website is.  For example, if you have a lot of backlinks with “Best Widgets” in the anchor text as pictured above, say more than any other website, Google will put your website on the front page.  And we all know what front page Google rankings mean - Traffic, lots of it..

The number of backlinks reflected in the search engines will give you a general idea of where your website is ranking.  In my own experience, I don’t think any of them are exact.  I have also read that getting backlinks from high ranking websites is best.  A couple of easy ways to check your backlinks in the search engines include the following.

For Google, I will enter the following “site:http://www.yourwebsite.com”(without the quotes).   You can also sign up for a webmaster tools account too, and Google will tell you what keyword your website ranks for, and provide you will a good estimate of your website’s backlinks.

In Yahoo, you will want to go to Yahoo Site Explorer, and type in your website URL as, http://www.yourwebsite.com.

If you are using Firefox, which you really should be as an internet marketer ;), check out the SEOQuake Add On.  It’s amazing because it will give you a little toolbar that you can easily toggle on and off to check your backlinks in Google, Yahoo, and Bing along with your Alexa ranking, age of site and more.

Of course you build backlinks by writing articles and submitting them to article directories like Ezinearticles, or by creating mini sites like Squidoo, or Weebly or any of the thousands of others out there.  You can also submit your website to directories, add comments to other blogs, and use social bookmarketing to create backlinks for your website or blog.

Just remember that what anchor text you use for your backlink will be noticed by the search engines.  It is best to use a keyword that you are trying to rank for.  And don’t use the same keyword every time, switch it up.  Make them natural.

I have to confess, I have a secret strategy for using private label rights articles.  Because I maintain a string of niche blogs, I generally have to write a ton of articles to drive traffic to them.  This is monotonous, and time consuming, and often it gets really frustrating.

To save myself some time and energy, I have discovered a technique to generate hundreds of articles on any subject I choose, spin them out several times (using a real article spinner that makes readable articles), and submit them to a service that mixes them up some more, and sends them out to hundreds of blogs, directories, and article websites.

For me, article marketing has become a relatively fun, fast and simple task.  I love to sit back and watch my Alexa rankings grow.  My rankings grow so quickly that I can rank for most any mid-range keyword in a matter of weeks.  I do pace myself though, because I know what it feels like to have a blog banned by Google.  Not fun at all.

The methods that I use all cost money, but they save me so much time.  I recently got a copy of the Ultimate PLR Collection.  It’s a software database of almost 30,000 niche plr articles in every imaginable subject.

Next, I gather approximately 25 niche plr articles from this database, and I save them to a folder on my desktop.  I create an additional folder inside for my spun articles.  I pop each article into The Best Spinner. (this amazing article spinner is the real deal, I can spin an article out to unique in minutes, and it completely makes sense, and most of the time the new article sounds better than the original).  Honestly, I have never found an article spinner that was worth the time to use, that is until now.

I spin each article out 3 times and save it in the folders.  Next, I open the Unique Article Wizard.  They have a feature called “Easy One Step” where you can simply copy the spun article into three boxes, add three resource boxes with your chosen keywords, and you are off to the races.   I have used a lot of different article submitting services, and this service is the absolute best.

The whole process takes me 10 -15 minutes tops.  I can easily do 50 - 60 articles a day, and with the Unique Article Wizard sending each unique article out to at least 400 - 700 directories and blogs, it’s only a matter of time before the sales start chiming in.

You can also pull a fresh article whenever you like to add to blogs, Squidoos, Hubpages, Weebly’s, and regular article directories.  I do it all of the time, and it’s really the key to making money online.

Oh, and you are probably wondering why I am saving the PLR articles.  I do it so that I can piece them together to create ebooks, videos, and podcasts.  More ways to make money from Private Label Rights.

The only thing that you don’t want to do with PLR is leave it as is, sign your name to it, and submit it.  Chances are you won’t rank well, and you will be wasting your own time by submitting it.  Change the articles, and make them unique.

So, that’s my real method for mad crazy article marketing, and it works.  Try it, you’ll be amazed, and pleasantly surprised.

I know that this might sound really silly to most bloggers, but I am in the middle of a blogging crisis.  I have several niche blogs, and they are totally getting traffic with no sales.  Many of them I have redesigned over and over again, which in the eyes of the search engines can be a big no-no.

I have been dinged over the head several times for trying to go from website to blog, and blog to super blog.  So it’s not always a good idea to total revamp your blog too often.

And I wonder too if people really get blogs, especially the free Wordpress themed blogs that can be kinda rough around the edges.  I wonder if people are looking for some type of information that is not appearing in the widgets sidebar.  I am not ready to pay for a Wordpress theme just yet.   And maybe I am just overthinking the whole blog design thing.  How much can it matter, right?

You name the mistake, I have made it!  Mistakes can be good though,as they are often humbling, and I am sure other marketers have taken time out to laugh and point, but that’s ok too.   As long as I keep trying I will get there.  You will too!

That is key to remember if you are running into problems in your niche marketing efforts.  It’s ok to make mistakes and learn from them.  Just remember to learn from them.  That’s the important part.

Here are some tips that I have learned from my blogging catastrophes.  These methods seem to work for me, maybe they will work for you too. 

With blogs, it seems that the more good, useful content you can post, the better.  That makes a lot of sense because the more content your blog has, the more keywords your blog will rank for in the search engines.

If you are running into my scenario of getting great traffic and no sales, try keeping your customer in mind.  What are they looking for?  How can you help them find a solution?  Remember not to write for the search engines, appeal to your audience.

(I can’t tell you how many times I have banged my head up against this wall.  I am much more successful when I speak to my visitors, not at them.)

Another thing I have learned is to not have a thousand things going at once.  I have been so guilty of building one niche blog after the other, because I get bored so quickly.  Looking back, I should have completed each project, and built sufficient backlinks before moving onto the next project.

The really successful bloggers start a project and develop it before moving on to the next hot thing.  So, if you are finding yourself in a blogging crisis like me, take comfort in knowing that you are not alone.  There are simple things that you can focus on that can help you right back out of it.

I have recently gone back to creating lots more Squidoo pages, and when I was checking my backlinks the other day, I noticed that my Squidoo backlinks had doubled!  I was astounded, and the funny thing was that I didn’t do anything to my lenses.  Just, left them all sitting.

I have been following PotPieGirl’s One Week Marketing for almost a year.  I bought my copy last February.  It came with an action plan, mind maps, the One Week Marketing book, and an interesting case study where she helped a young man make sales with her OWM strategies.

I haven’t stuck to her plan of building Squidoo lenses every week, but I have been creating them on a regular basis, and following her methods for getting traffic to them.  Her Squidoo strategies are right on target, and I make sales all of the time because of her action plan.  It’s rather easy money too, which I love!

Anyway, I found that by checking my Squidoo backlinks, they had doubled.  There is a feature called discovery in the sidebar of each Squidoo lens.  When you create your lense, and keep this feature on, it doubles your backlinks which of course is more traffic.  Better yet, traffic you don’t have to work for.

So, pick up your copy of One Week Marketing, and start making Squidoos.  It’s a great way to earn extra money every month!

Link Building for Wordpress Blogs

Have you ever wondered how to build links to your Wordpress blogs?  It may sound like an easy task with social bookmarking tools and RSS feeds.  But it can be daunting and time consuming if you have several Wordpress blogs that you maintain.  Finding a good reliable link building service is super important when you maintain several niche blogs.

Link building services are good for when you don’t have a lot of time to build links, and even if you don’t know a lot about proper ways to build backlinks.  I maintain several niche blogs, and it’s a lot of work but I have found that by outsourcing some of the jobs, I can free up my time to work on good content and do some of the tasks that I enjoy.  Link building has never been a lot of fun for me.

I was forced to learn to write articles to promote my website.  When I first started writing articles, I had no idea where to start or even how to tie in my website without feeling like a used car salesman.  I dreaded the feeling of being ridiculed for writing a silly article to advertise my first shopping website.  My first website was a mess.  I started out with good intentions wanting to make a huge coupon site with all kinds of products in the mix.  Little did I know that this was a really huge task for which I could never have enough hours in the day.

3 Really Easy Free Ways to Tackle Blog Promotion

There are lots of ways to promote your blog. It can be frustrating at times to drive traffic to a new blog, and it’s easy to get discouraged. When I first started creating niche blogs I had the toughest time driving traffic to them. I would spend weeks agonizing on how to create the blog, and even more time with RSS feeds, social bookmarking, and writing articles.

The job of maintaining a blog and generating blog traffic can be so tiresome and stressful, and when you go back to check your own stats, it just seems like other blogs always have the advantage of more backlinks, and top search positions for the keywords that you try to rank for.  There just seems to be more work than hours in the day.

I have found some easy and often overlooked ways to drive traffic to my blog.  I use Firefox because of all of the amazing add-ons that the browser offers.  One of my favorite add ons is Zemanta.  It fits in your control panel on Wordpress, and you can quickly add related links at the bottom of your blog posts.  You may wonder why add other blogs links to your posts, doesn’t this just redirect traffic to another blog?  Yes, in a sense it does, but the links are at the bottom of the posts, and by linking to other authority sites, you are creating a backlink to your website.  Linking to an authority site with related content is also good for search engine rankings, increasing your blog traffic.

Another easy way to drive traffic to your blog is to comment on other blogs.  The trick is to find other blogs that offer “do-follow” links.  I found free software called Fast Blog Finder that will find other blogs and allow you to add comments with a link to your blog.

Finally, my third method for driving traffic to my niche blogs is to choose low competition keywords with lots of searches.  Google has a free keywords tool, and you can type in your keyword ideas and narrow them down to a few select keywords.  Create posts around the keywords using the keyword in the title, and at least a few times throughout your blog post.  This helps to attract visitors to your blog.
